MMSA is a full member of the IFMSA and although being one of the smallest National Medical Organisation, the Maltese delegation is always one the largest during all IFMSA General Assemblies.

MMSA is also proud of having members who occupy posts in the Team of Officials of this internal federation. MMSA hosted 2010 European Regional Meeting where 250 European medical students attended.

MMSA continuously comes up and shares numerous projects with other members of the federation. Those projects are now conducted all over the globe.

MMSA representatives form part of the WHO Youth Network and participate in conferences and workshops organised by the Organisation.  MMSA is also a registered partner with WHO and it organises national public health awareness campaigns on each International Health Day.
