.The Ministry and the MMSA meet on a regular basis so as to ensure that pertinent policies and directives related to health have feedback from medical students. This collaboration also takes care of solving issues pertaining to the realm of medical students and their future.

The MMSA and Health Promotion & Disease Prevention often join forces on public health awareness campaigns so as to potentiate their outreach towards the general public.

Aġenzija Żgħażagħ

Although recently established, the Aġenzija Żgħażagħ is already closely collaborating with the MMSA. The agency supported the Association with its resources on numerous occassions, promotes the Associasion on its National Youth Portal. Representatives from both parties attend to each others’ events for support..

.As from summer 2010, MMSA is conducting Reach on the Beach with the MTA. This project has the aim to deliver information on the effects of tobacco, dehydration and sun hazards. It also aims to raise awareness on the importance of the conservation of the natural environment and the cleanliness of public places.

.Apart from the fact that various MMSA members are trainers and first aiders with this Society, the MMSA and MRCS do various First Aid courses for medical students and first aid awareness campaigns on campus and in other Maltese landmarks for the general public.

Malta Mental Health Network (MMHN)

.This network is composed of the Malta Medical Students’ Association (MMSA), the University KPS (Social Policy Commission) Health Committee, BetaPsi, Arts Students’ Association (ASA), Richmond Foundation, the Destigmatisers, the Malta Association of Psychiatric Nurses (MAPN) and Mount Carmel Hospital.

The Malta Mental Health Network will organise further initiatives to decrease the stigma and lack of knowledge on mental health conditions, to raise awareness on the high incidence of mental health conditions and that all people are vulnerable to it, to increase collaboration between bodies who are active in mental health awareness, and to direct the community towards mental health educational resources and professional assistance.
