Welcome to the Malta Electives Programme

The Malta Medical School is pleased to offer students attending other medical schools in foreign Universities, the possibility of doing an elective clerkship in Malta.

The Electives Programme is administered by the Malta Medical Students’ Association in conjunction with the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Kindly note that the role of the student undertaking a medical elective attachment is an observatory one. Thus all aims and objectives should reflect this role. The Programme runs all year round, rotation in more than one speciality is possible and there is no limitation on the duration of the electives.

Malta is one of the most popular places in the world for elective clerkships and places are limited, thus early application is recommended. On this website you will find detailed information on the Programme and how you can participate.
