IVF Outreach and Debate

IVF is a procedure which has been carried out in line with the best medical practices for 20 years in Malta. However, there is currently no legislation, but this does not mean that anything illegal is taking place. At the moment the government, together with medical professionals and bioethicists, are looking into the concept of freezing – not just of embryos but also of stem cells. This campaign aims at ensuring university students and the general public are more informed and can understand the current debates better as In vitro fertilisation is quite a hot topic when discussed in Malta.

Join us on the 20th of March for an Outreach on Campus, with a Debate starting at 12.00pm.

The Debate panel will include Dr.Josie Muscat, Hon. Owen Bonnici and Dr.P.Schembri Wismayer amongst other speakers. We will also be screeing a vox-pop video shot earlier this month, with comments from Prof. Brincat
