Sex, Relationships and Learning Disability Seminar

Sex, Relationships and Learning Disability
It’s time for emancipation!

There are said to be three things we tend not to discuss with people with a learning disability

– death, learning disability and sex -

… But Lennon and McCartney didn’t sing “All You Need is Sex” – they spoke about needing love ! Life without close adult relationships is poorer and lonelier for any of us. “And the Lord God said ‘It is not good for the man to be alone’ ” (Genesis 2:18)

This presentation will look at what we mean by ‘learning disability’, what needs to happen to enable emancipation, and will offer practical steps to help bring it about.
