About
The Team
The MMSA Antitobacco Peer Education team is a group of young peer educators which discusses the effects of smoking tobacco in a non formal way with other young people. As an adjunct to formal education and up to date and evidence-based information and approaches, the team strives to provide a 360-degree view of the smoking habit in order to empower youth to take a fit informed decision on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The Programme
The MMSA Antitobacco Peer Education programme is a project approved and funded by the European Commission as part of the HELP 2.0 Antismoking Campaign. The programme holistically mentions the facts about tobacco which can be seen clearly through our objectives. The programme content and format are tailor-made to appeal to young people.
All peer educators at least receive the basic peer educator training at an NPET weekend, click here to see the list of events and projects in which the team participated in and contributed for.
The team also keeps and updates a resource pack whereby peer educators, institutions and the general public can access and benefit from.
