Finance
The Malta Medical Students’ Association, like all other associations can do nothing without money. The Finance Team of the MMSA ensures that all events, campaigns and projects are funded and financially sustainable. The finance team is responsible for the management of income through sponsorships, grants and funds. The money is utilized by the different SCs for campaigns, seminars and outreaches. Moreover, the money is also given to the students through the ‘Travel Assistance Fund’ and the ‘Physical Activity Fund’.
The MMSA believes that medical students should not feel restricted to getting educations and experience solely from the University of Malta. Various seminars, trainings and courses are offered abroad and the MMSA encourages its members to attend through the ‘Training Assistance Fund’ (TAF). Moreover, the MMSA recognizes the importance of physical activity and sports in one’s health lifestyle. The MMSA supports this by providing the ‘Physical Activity Fund’ (PAF).
The finance team issues quarterly reports and event report forms to ensure transparency and accountability. These reports will be available to the MMSA members to see.
It is the advancement of you, the medical student that is the ultimate goal of the Finance Team. Whether it is by offering you financial aid directly or by funding the projects that the MMSA organizes and through which the medical students learns and gains valuable life experience, the finance team is here for you. The Finance Team strives to be available and reachable by all and should there be any queries, please do not hesitate to make them known by sending an email to finance@mmsa.org.mt
