Aims and Objectives

To attempt to tackle issues of public health in Malta by raising awareness, especially about disease prevention and conditions prevalent locally, through the organisation of events and information campaigns that target these national problems
To expose the MMSA members interested in public health to the problems associated with health in Malta
To empower medical students with knowledge about public health issues, project management, advocacy and campaigning which they can then use during SCOPH campaigns
To give medical students a chance to get involved in public health issues and health promotion even before graduation
To liaise with other student organizations within the Social Policy Council (KPS) for the promotion of public health and health awareness campaigns
To liaise with nationally and internationally recognized bodies for the promotion of public health and health awareness campaigns
To give Maltese medical students the opportunity to represent MMSA abroad in conferences, meetings and summits that are related to public health
