Aims and Objectives

  • To increase medical students’ awareness about human rights, as well as patients’ rights, so as to better equip them to deal with sensitive situations and difficult decisions future medical professionals
  • To educate the public about these rights so as to prevent them from being denied these rights unknowingly
  • To encourage the public, medical students and primary and secondary school students to change discriminatory attitudes towards people from different cultural backgrounds, race, religions and people with certain addictions or diseases
  • To make students aware of the realities of addictions, injustice, diseases etc., comprehend the associated hardships, and learn how to handle such problems
  • To encourage medical students’ participation in SCORP’s events throughout the year
  • To give medical students the opportunity to associate with individuals from different social backgrounds, helping to improve their communication skills and tolerance to others
  • To keep up-to-date with what is happening internationally via the IFMSA-SCORP server
  • To integrate within transnational SCORP projects and keep IFMSA updated about our projects
  • To provide students with the opportunity to work with other organizations at the University as well as outside the University so as to boost SCORP’s awareness campaigns
  • To provide students participating in SCORP projects with a fulfilling learning experience
