Aims and Objectives

To increase medical students’ awareness about human rights, as well as patients’ rights, so as to better equip them to deal with sensitive situations and difficult decisions future medical professionals
To educate the public about these rights so as to prevent them from being denied these rights unknowingly
To encourage the public, medical students and primary and secondary school students to change discriminatory attitudes towards people from different cultural backgrounds, race, religions and people with certain addictions or diseases
To make students aware of the realities of addictions, injustice, diseases etc., comprehend the associated hardships, and learn how to handle such problems
To encourage medical students’ participation in SCORP’s events throughout the year
To give medical students the opportunity to associate with individuals from different social backgrounds, helping to improve their communication skills and tolerance to others
To keep up-to-date with what is happening internationally via the IFMSA-SCORP server
To integrate within transnational SCORP projects and keep IFMSA updated about our projects
To provide students with the opportunity to work with other organizations at the University as well as outside the University so as to boost SCORP’s awareness campaigns
To provide students participating in SCORP projects with a fulfilling learning experience
