Hey guys!
SCOME is once again collaborating with the Department of Linguistics, to organise a set of Maltese Sign Language Courses called 'Breaking the Silence' for Medical students which will commence in semester 2!
This course will give insight on how to communicate with persons with hearing and/or speech impairment and will be of great importance for your future career as holistic professionals.
For first timers we are offering a beginner level which will consist of 14 sessions of one hour each, throughout the semester.
And for those who have successfully completed the beginner level and want to further their knowledge and challenge themselves a bit more we are also offering the intermediate level of the course which will also consist of 14 sessions of one hour each, throughout the semester.
Regular attendance and an examination at the end are required, since the certification will be recorded on you Uni transcript!
PLEASE NOTE THAT the course is limited to 15 students on a first come first served basis and that fluency in Maltese is a requirement.
