"MMSA - The Malta Medical Students’ Association is a voluntary non governmental organisation with its main aim being to represent medical students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine & Surgery Course. This means that MMSA is an autonomous self-sufficient organisation and is not supported financially by the government, medical school of the University of Malta. This ensures that MMSA has the autonomy needed to fight for the rights of its members. We rely solely on our sponsors for funding, aiming to provide our members with as many opportunities and grants as possible. Attracting sponsors would be far more difficult if it were not for our members who work harder each year to ensure that MMSA tops the list of student organisations year after year! "

The Standing Committee on Peer Education & Training (SCOPET) focuses on two aspects. Peer Education is the act of helping one's peers understand a specific topic (such as anti-bullying and anti-smoking) and help guide them in the right path by offering advice and factual information, an excellent way to improve public speaking skills. Training on the other hand involves qualifying medical students to become internationally certified trainers, where they can give sessions on specific skills such as teamwork and presentation skills to other students even abroad.

Exchange Officer - Outgoings
The role of the Professional and Research Exchange Officer for Incomings (PREO-In) encompasses many different jobs.
