Introducing the first Aware in Care event of the term, “Diversity in Dermatology” is an event focused on skin conditions in patients of colour, focusing on how common dermatological conditions may present differently on different skin tones.
In this event, our speaker will be discussing some common skin conditions refugees might present with, as well as what we as future doctors should look for when examining a patient of colour.
Currently, there aren’t many educational resources on the presentation of skin conditions in people of colour. This is why we encourage you to attend this talk, as it will help your future patients, as well as yourselves as future doctors in order to be able to spot certain signs of rashes or even skin cancer which might not be so obvious.
