,For our second Aware in Care event of the term we will be organising the “Crash to Casualty” workshop. This will be especially focused on the procedures that take place in the event of a serious car crash from the point of first contact to the emergency room. During this time, we hope to cover some of the most frequent injuries that first responders encounter in such incidents, their immediate concerns and outfield manoeuvres performed. Following this informative presentation by our speaker, case scenarios will be presented. The attendees shall be split into small groups to further discuss the cases among themselves as the tutors go around to help. We will then finish the session by answering any questions you may have.
We encourage you to attend this event as it will be of great insight into how such instances are handled by trained professionals in a stepwise manner. The event will be held on November 15th in the KSU common room between 14.30 till 16.00.
Note that in order for us to maintain the quality of the session, places will be very limited so be sure to apply quickly to secure a spot!
