For our very first Aware in Care event of the year we will be organising an 'Exploring Emergency Care’ workshop. This will be focused on the procedures that take place in the event of acute emergencies from the point of first contact till the emergency ward.
During this time, we hope to get an overview of the local specialisation course and how life changes upon choosing emergency as a speciality. Moreover, the speakers will address some of the most frequent injuries that first responders encounter in such incidents, their immediate concerns, outfield manoeuvres, management of these patients in-hospital and how they liaise with other specialties to deliver the best form of care. After this informative session, attendees will get the opportunity to practise CPR and defibrillation procedures on hospital training mannequins. We encourage you to attend this event as it will be of great insight into the field of emergency care and the local specialisation course.
The event will be held on October 25th at the KSU common room between 15.00 and 16.30.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to speak to myself, Timothy Borg, Martina Mizzi or Mireille Attard
