Last Wednesday, MMSA-Human Rights and Peace proudly launched this year’s Mental Health Peer Education Campaign by organising a training workshop for medical students interested in giving sessions on mental health in secondary and post secondary schools.
During the workshop, the coordinators Nicole Borg and Jonathan Sammut gave tips on how to talk about sensitive topics, the importance of using non-stigmatising language and what to do when approached by students after giving a session. A total of 45 medical students attended this workshop.
Having kicked off this campaign so successfully, we are looking forward to share the training opportunities we have in store for you in the coming months!
