KSU, MMSA and GUG welcome the news circulated to medical students this afternoon, that Gozitan students studying at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery are now given the option to sit for their written exams in Gozo as from January 2017.

This comes as great news as now all written examinations are now available to take place in Gozo. This has been something the concerning organisations have been pushing for, for the past few years and are now grateful that our Gozitan members now have the benefit of sitting for their exams at the vicinity of their homes, like their Maltese colleagues.

This would not have been possible without the efforts of numerous Gozitan Medical students who formed part of a subcommittee created to ensure that they were given equal rights in this matter.

We would also like to thank the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the University of Malta Senate for listening to our Gozitan students' concerns and allowing this to take place.
